The new AVG Anti-Virus Plus Firewall combines the real-time virus scanning capabilities of AVG's free Anti-Virus scanner with a powerful firewall utility for added security. While AVG won't win any beauty contests or speed competitions, the scanner's combination of free real-time virus protection and e-mail scanning, free virus definition updates, and free (albeit limited) support makes it tough to turn down.

AVG Anti-Virus Plus Firewall is currently available as a beta download, with an official release expected in mid-June. Pricing has yet to be announced for the software.
