Microsoft made a quick turnaround on its acquisition of GIANT Software with the initial beta release of its first anti-malware product. The software offers impressive real-time protection for your PC from spyware and other potentially unwanted software.

While Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware served as the initial beta for Microsoft's anti-malware software, the program has since been renamed and updated as Windows Defender. As a result, Windows AntiSpyware will no longer be updated.
