Google brings its advanced searching capabilities to your desktop with the new Google Desktop client (formerly called Google Desktop Search), a tool that indexes and provides full text search for your desktop files, email messages, IM chats, and previously viewed Web pages. By indexing your files and messages in the background while your computer is idle, updated results are returned in mere seconds.
