Test 3 - Scanning and Disinfection – Staggers Through. Doesn't stand up to big name Anti-Virus programs yet -- there are only 25,000 viruses in Panda's virus list where Norton Antivirus has 42k and VirusScan 45k.
Test 4 - Daily Updates – Passed. Nice little feature that is quick and easy to use.
Test 5 - Internet Features – Passed. Great protection, covering every direction a virus can enter through the Internet.
As you can see from our testing, Panda AntiVirus Platinum is a great up and coming product. The problem is, it just doesn't have the ability to stand up against the big names in Anti-Virus utilities yet. Virus scanners like McAfee's Viruscan and Norton AntiVirus still prove to be the main contenders. But, with its slick interface, rich configuration options, and nice Internet features, Panda AntiVirus is an innovative product and one to watch in coming years.
