Although it may not offer a bevy of advanced options or image manipulation capabilities, by no means is Firehand Ember lacking when it comes to features. Among its strongest attributes are batch export and conversion tools; image filtering masks; display sorting options for thumbnails by filename, size, or date; and full drag and drop support with the ability to load images into other programs by simply dragging an Ember image thumbnail into another application's window or onto its icon.
Additional features include TWAIN support for importing images directly into Ember from your scanner or digital camera, an integrated pop-up image viewer, folder management functions (for creating, removing, renaming, or moving directories), a file search tool, Microsoft IntelliMouse support, an automated file gallery, a bulk sequential file rename function, and a tools registry for integration with third-party utility applications and external viewers.
