Creating "SendTo" Shortcuts for Quick and Painless Transfers

Creating "SendTo" Shortcuts for Quick and Painless Transfers

My favorite use for ftpNetDrive is creating a shortcut for a mapped FTP site, placing the shortcut in the Windows "SendTo" directory, and then using the shortcut to easily upload Web files to the mapped FTP site by simply right-clicking on the files and selecting the shortcut. I have found this to be the most efficient (i.e. quick and painless) method for transferring a large number of files to a remote site.

Another Web transfer agent, FTP OutBox, offers a similar capability, but with ftpNetDrive's intuitive Site Wizard it's much easier to create and manage your mapped FTP sites. FTP Outbox is also limited in that, due to using a DOS-based command line instruction for sending files, it can only send a maximum of between ten and fifteen files at a time (a max of 255 characters).
