While LView Pro still doesn't offer as many features as apps like Paint Shop Pro or the commercial Adobe Photoshop, it remains one of the better all-around programs for viewing and manipulating images, and at just $40, LView Pro's definitely a great value.

Pros: Solid feature-set, many image types supported, easy to use, extensive online help

Cons: Lacks some features found in Paint Shop Pro and commercial tools like Photoshop
