LView Pro
Introduction
Forrest Stroud

LView Pro and Paint Shop Pro were two of the earliest shareware releases on the 'net. We started covering both of the apps in late 1994 (when Paint Shop Pro was already at v2.0). The surprising thing is that despite their venerability, both apps have continued to improve over the years and have remained at the forefront of the graphics editing and viewing scene. It's always refreshing to see an app age like a fine wine, especially one that doesn't cost nearly as much as a bottle of fine wine.

After a lull between July 1997 and January of 1999 when no new versions of LView Pro were released, LView Pro has seen considerable development over the last year and as a result has added a variety of new features that will appeal to today's graphics designer.
