Built Upon an Internet Explorer Foundation
A key difference between NeoPlanet and other alternative browser options like Opera is that NeoPlanet isn't actually a full-fledged Web browser. While the front-end technology for NeoPlanet is proprietary, the back-end technology used for the browser is courtesy of Internet Explorer.
This is beneficial in the sense that every technology supported by Internet Explorer is supported by NeoPlanet as well, from Java applets to dynamic HTML to ActiveX Controls. The downside to this is that you must have both Internet Explorer (v3.0 or higher) and NeoPlanet on your computer in order for NeoPlanet to work.
