There are a few minor features missing in Paint Shop Pro that would make the client even better. One example is that the near-perfect inline screen capture tool lacks only the capability to define a specific sized area (x by x pixels) for capturing -- a useful feature found in another Jasc product, JasCapture. Similarly, some of the selection and manipulation tools don't offer as many fine-tuning options as those in Adobe Photoshop; on the other hand, there are several tools in Paint Shop Pro that offer many more options than can be found in their Photoshop counterparts.
In fact, with the major releases of v5.0 and v6.0, Paint Shop Pro has made huge strides in bridging the gap between itself and Photoshop. There are so many powerful new feature additions and intuitive user enhancements in the most recent release that Paint Shop Pro stands on its own against Adobe Photoshop -- even when price isn't taken into account!
