A Few Deficiencies in BeyondMail
BeyondMail does lack several critical features that would make it more competitive, including multiple signature files, support for multiple mail accounts, advanced distribution list capabilities (as seen in Pegasus Mail), color-coded priority tags (as seen in Eudora Pro), BinHex encoding and decoding, and automatic decoding (as seen in the Netscape and Emissary mail clients).
Additionally, although Banyan Systems has released a commercial update for BeyondMail, version 3.5, the only release available for evaluation is version 3.0, which first became available in early 1997. As a result, the downloadable release of BeyondMail does not show the client's most recent feature additions and changes.
