Drawbacks Relative to the Competition
While NoteTab Pro offers an abundance of features, it lacks some of the better features found in competitors like TextPad and UltraEdit. NoteTab Pro lacks TextPad's ultra-useful QuickOpen feature (an Open From Cursor command is similar but doesn't match the functionality of TextPad's -- and UltraEdit's -- QuickOpen command), ability to record and playback macros, file comparison features, and extensive customization capabilities.
NoteTab Pro also lacks UltraEdit's Projects feature, macro capabilities, column mode editing, file tree view, save to and open from FTP sites, file comparison capabilities, and HEX editing capabilities.
