NoteTab Pro vs. NoteTab Standard
There are a number of differences between the three releases of NoteTab. The Pro version offers the ability to edit files of unlimited size and is also much faster than the other two releases. Relative to the Pro version, the Standard release is quite slow when working with large files and lacks a number of features, including multi-level undo/redo, URL and HTML highlighting, bookmarks, and the ability to use OEM fonts.
One advantage the Standard release does enjoy over the Pro version is the ability to edit files up to 2 GB in size (as opposed to the Pro version's 16 MB limit). The freeware Light release lacks the spelling checker and thesaurus, cannot replace text in files on disk, has no internal support for Perl and Gawk scripts, and lacks the Reformat Lines and Justify commands.
