For just $35 you get an application that allows you to quickly view, print, or manage nearly any type of file from within your favorite Web browser. Whether it's a Microsoft Word or WordPerfect document (in either Windows or Mac format), Lotus or Excel spreadsheet, Access or Paradox database, Windows bitmap or Adobe Photoshop graphic, PowerPoint or Harvard Graphics presentation, ZIP-compressed archive, or some lesser-known type of file, QuickView Plus can aptly handle it.
In addition to its web plug-in/helper application capabilities for Internet Explorer and Netscape, QuickView Plus also integrates with Windows Explorer and a number of mail clients (including Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, Netscape Mail/Messenger, and Lotus Notes) to give you the ability to view files and attachments without having to launch their respective applications. In fact, you don't even need the application in order to get WYSIWYG viewing for the file from within QuickView Plus.
The client also resides in the context menu of each file, giving you immediate access via a right-mouse click. Beyond not needing to a gazillion apps on hand for viewing every imaginable type of file, the best aspect of QuickView Plus is that it loads much quicker than its counterpart applications, allowing you to access important files faster than ever before.
Still, the client isn't totally without its faults. You'll still need plug-ins for files not currently supported by QuickView Plus, including Shockwave, Flash, audio, and some desktop publishing formats. And when it comes to graphics, you'll also find quicker performance for viewing and more advanced features for managing images in a standlone image viewer such as Irfan View or Firehand Ember.
