TransSoft Mail Control
Introducing TransSoft Mail Control
Forrest Stroud

It was once quite rare to find solid software for the Internet developed outside of the United States or Canada. Recently, that trend has begun to change with contributions from the likes of Russia (AMSD Ariadna), Norway (Opera), Germany (UdiWWW), Japan (Becky Internet Mail), Austria (Alibaba), and the latest international hit, Iceland's TransSoft Mail Control.

While no longer supported or developed by TransSoft, this Icelandic original remains available for download, and despite lacking a great-looking interface or some of the more powerful features of Pegasus Mail, Eudora, and Microsoft Outlook Express, TMC still retains a small but loyal following.

TransSoft Mail Control, or TMC Pro as it is commonly referred to, is first and foremost designed to be both easy to learn and use for novice users as well as efficient and powerful for more advanced users. The client once succeeded on both levels, but has been bested by the continued development of competing clients like Eudora and Pegasus Mail.
