Winamp 2.50 is for Windows 95, 98 and NT. There is a version that is not freeware, called the "Complete Version", that supports WMA, but unless you plan on playing WMA files, the freeware version is more than sufficient. Winamp is very cool, but it ain't perfect. The playlist uses little multifunction buttons instead of normal Windows style menus. The buttons give the playlist a uniform look, but personally I find them annoying and more than a little cryptic for beginning Winamp users. I'd much rather sacrifice a little uniformity to have clear, precise menus at the top like in all my other programs. But that's a small price to pay for superior software, especially when it's free! Bottom line: Go get it!
