Dragon NaturallySpeaking Pro 3.5
Using Dragon NaturallySpeaking
Paul Jones

Using Dragon NaturallySpeaking is not difficult. You can use its built-in word processor, which is similar to Microsoft WordPad, or virtually any other Windows program to dictate speech. It works especially well with Corel WordPerfect (bundled with Dragon NaturallySpeaking) and Microsoft Word. To start dictating, simply press the + key on the numeric keypad or click the Microphone icon, and start talking into the mike.

While dictating, you can use voice commands to edit text. There's a Quick Reference sheet you'll want to keep handy until you know the commands fairly well. Fortunately, most of them are very easy to remember (e.g., to turn the microphone off, you merely say Microphone Off; to get help using Dragon NaturallySpeaking, say Give Me Help).

You can also use voice commands to navigate and manipulate Windows, dialog boxes, etc., using such commands as Click Start and Click OK. Dragon NaturallySpeaking even comes with its own MouseGrid to control the mouse pointer with voice commands, but I found this rather more unique than useful.
