The incredible thing about Dragon NaturallySpeaking's accuracy is its ability to actually learn a user's speech. Dragon NaturallySpeaking learns whenever General Training, the Correction Dialog, or the Train Words Dialog are used. With any of these, when a user speaks a word or phrase Dragon NaturallySpeaking adapts its acoustic models for that word or phrase, and also for other words and phrases sharing similar sounds. If a user pronounces a word completely differently from how Dragon NaturallySpeaking expects, it adjusts its recorded pronunciation of that word to be able recognize it in the future.
This ability to adjust and learn a user's voice is outstanding, especially if the user has an accent or other 'unexpected' speech pattern. To put this to the test I had my wife train Dragon NaturallySpeaking to her voice. She has only been speaking English for a few years and her accent is still quite evident. However, after a few training sessions, Dragon NaturallySpeaking was able to display her speech as accurately as mine.
