Dragon NaturallySpeaking Pro 3.5 Installation and Setup Paul Jones
Installing the product was simple, merely a matter of Next, Next, Yes, Next, Finish, and so on. The first time I ran Dragon NaturallySpeaking, the New User wizard guided me through the steps necessary for Dragon NaturallySpeaking to recognize my speech. This included:
Creating a set of user speech files
Specifying whether the user will be dictating directly into the computer or into a recording device
Testing and configuring the sound hardware with the Audio Setup wizard
Training Dragon NaturallySpeaking to recognize the user's voice
Customizing the user's vocabulary with Vocabulary Builder
Learning to use Dragon NaturallySpeaking with the Quick Tour
The entire process took me well over 30 minutes, but when I was done, Dragon NaturallySpeaking was able to immediately display my spoken words with about 90% accuracy. And it got better over the next few days. By the time I had used it for a week, the accuracy was closer to 96%. I was impressed -- very impressed.
