Have you ever been annoyed by Internet Explorer's inability to add features that you want? Have you ever wished that you could turn off all pop-up adds, or even browse multiple web pages at the same time? Well, StileSoft, Inc. finally caught on and has developed a very useful program that tries to meet those needs. They have developed NetCaptor, an add-on to your Internet Explorer browser that adds many features to your browser (works with IE4 and IE5 only).
One of the neatest things about NetCaptor is its ability to view as many web pages as you want simultaneously without having multiple browser windows scattered around the Desktop. It accomplishes this by using tabs within a single window to organize the multiple windows. You can simply tab between the windows instead of using the Back button! This is NetCaptor's Multiple Document Interface (MDI). Each window has its own labeled tab and its own history, stop, refresh, and previous-page-viewed functions.
Another interesting feature is called Captor Groups. These are a set of defined user pages that can be opened at once for your viewing purposes. To set up these groups, all you have to do is open up the sites you want to be in the group, each in its own tab, then tell NetCaptor to create a Captor Group. It will automatically save those sites into the Captor Group for you. You can set a Captor Group as your homepage and have all your favorite sites opened at start-up.
