Move taskbar right, top and left or leave at default position.
Resize taskbar.
Control key on folder and double-click.
Shift, double-click and open folder.

Desktop Tips
Desktop folders, moving and creating shortcuts, right- click open space on taskbar to minimize all Windows, go into My computer and do the toolbar pull-down and you have desktop in a window and drag and drop a document to the printer shortcut.
File System
Shift and X will close active window, sharing and format options, file system tools (error-checking, defrag, compression and sharing, device manager and its tabs, notably, performance) and folder view options, show all files, list and details.
File Manipulation
First alpha letter, drag to select, cut and copy and recover deleted files from Recycle Bin.
File Renaming Strategies
