Family Tree Maker is a neat little package of genealogy software designed to aid in either your small project or all-out research. It's easily understandable and navigable, presenting many options such as a scrapbook of each person, allowing pictures to be embedded, medical information, multiple spouses etc. The real gem of this software is it's website. Each month www.familytreemaker.com releases a magazine devoted to genealogy and it's software, search engines for you family and multiple volumes of CD's containing family data back to around the 1500's. This software allows the classification of a wide spectrum of topics pertaining to any family member. Start with whomever you like, and add their parents, children, spouses, divorcee's etc with the click of a button. Extensive marriage classification and medical histories are available if you desire to use such features. Exporting and printing your family tree is no problem, adding coloured borders and pictures if you wish.
