Macromedia FreeHand 9 Just Tell Me Which One Is Better! Paul Jones
Aside from all the features, another thing that makes FreeHand so desirable is its direct integration with Flash, Dreamweaver, and even Photoshop. Some of my favorite features are the ability to release layers to Flash for animations and the ability to publish as HTML.
What a lot of people want to find in a review of highly competitive software programs is the answer to the eternal question, "Is this program better?" In some cases it is a clear-cut "Yes" or "No," but usually it simply depends on the user's needs and wants. It's not purely a simple feature-for-feature battle anymore. Many times there are a few programs that perform equally well for the vast majority of tasks. It's often a decision reached after weighing the features and capabilities of the product, the tasks a user needs to perform, and the integration with other software desired.
All in all, I found FreeHand 9 a pleasant surprise. I'm still going to give Illustrator 9 a try, which may or may not change my mind, but for now I'm very happy with FreeHand 9.
