AvirMail 1.6 A Look At This Great Little Program! Douglas Smith
After installation a setup screen that allows setup of up to 9 different email accounts, along with daily check activation information. Several tabs configure AvirMail any way desired, with help a mouse click away. The options in this little program are truly unbelievable, and configuration's a snap. It will run quietly in the system tray as a check mark icon that changes colors from yellow to green on auto mail check, and flashes when you have new mail. Mail checks can be automated for whenever appropriate and cancelled at any time. Choose among various notifications of new mail such as sounds or messages. A right mouse click will produce a menu of options, such as Check Mail Now, Show Program, Exit and, if on a dial-up modem, the ability to connect and stay connected. The online help is truly a lifesaver, whether accessed from the popup menu or the interface's Help button. Version 1.6, just released, has added many new features with more to come in the future. Some of the new ones are Reply to messages with saved templates, Print Previews with an option to print new messages automatically, cancel/stop mail check progress, up to 9 different global daily check times, Collect Clickable Links from message for direct access, resize window and save position/size for next start, individual setting for each Windows log-on user and an improved Anti-Spam filter.
