HotMetal Pro 6.0 has many new and improved features over its earlier version, and the improvements are well thought out. The program does seem very memory hungry, needing all the resources a Pentium can muster just to open. The start interface also seems a little cluttered, but this can be attributed to the many features in the program. As with most WYSIWYG editors, some positioning of graphics and larger text is not quite exact, but for the most part alignment is good. This one's well worth a trip down to the SoftQuad web site and a download. There is a 30-day demo version that includes most of the program, less some extra stuff that you'd get on the CD. HotMetal Pro 6.0 will work with Win 95/98/NT and (recommended) Pentium II processor and 40 MB of hard drive space.
