The LifeView USB RoboCAM combines the latest CMOS CCD technologies as well as the emerging USB interface to deliver a crystal-clear picture with a convenient design. USB RoboCAM sports a unique compression algorithm to achieve the highest frame rate with the best possible video quality, while leaving plenty of resources for other programs.
There was a time, not too long ago (read: yesterday), when you had to install a special interface card and mess around with its jumpers in order to install an image capture device. In fact, most are still that way. But technology is slowly making its way up through the mire of industry standards to the desks of consumers. With the LifeView USB RoboCAM, you simply plug into your USB port and follow instructions as Windows automatically detects the device and guides you through the driver installation process. That's it. No expansion card. No jumpers. No tools. No cracking your PC case. No rebooting. There's not even a power cord. All the power needed by the RoboCAM is provided by the USB connection.
The LifeView USB RoboCAM package includes the RoboCAM USB camera, a CD with the necessary drivers and utilities and a user's manual. Bundled software includes Ulead Photo Express, Ulead VideoStudio, Cyberlink VideoLive Mail and Microsoft NetMeeting. The documentation is brief and clear, but setting up the camera is so simple you probably won't need it. If you do need help for some reason or another you should have no problem resolving the problem through LifeView's efficient technical support. I tested the technical support staff with a false problem and found them knowledgeable, quick and effective. However, chances are you won't need them.
