Windows 95 burst belatedly into the computer world amidst great fanfare and huzza. It was strong. It was friendly. It was cute. It made neat noises when the menus popped up. It was cool! And it was also a touch incomplete. This prompted the release of a major patch, which in turn prompted another bug-fix, followed by another, and another, and yet another. All of this mix and match upgrading made Windows users ask, "How do I know which version of Window 95 I have? How do I get the latest version of Windows 95? How many updates are there? Where do I get them? Which ones do I need? What happened to Windows 96 and Windows 97?"
