Web Components Microsoft has introduced new Spreadsheet, PivotTable, and Chart components that provide the functionality of Microsoft Excel in Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or later. These components tie into a variety of data sources, such as Excel, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft SQL Server, so you can not only access information, but also edit and manipulate that data. Better yet, you can take any data in the component and open it back into the original application with the click of a button.
Data Access Pages Similar to Forms and Reports in Microsoft Access, Data Access Pages are interactive Web pages that maintain a live link to a host database and let you view, edit, and contribute information within a browser window.
