Corel Updates Consumer Graphics Lineup New Releases Include Print House 6 and Photobook Eric Grevstad
Mon 6/16/03 -- Both digital-camera-owning, party-throwing families and professional 3D and Adobe Photoshop artists will find something to like in Corel Corp.'s new "Creative Summer" software lineup, which mixes brand-new releases with repackaged and lower-priced versions of image- and Web-editing classics.
The new titles are led by Corel Print House 6 ($40), a fast and easy program for organizing special events, creating family projects, and most of all printing greeting cards, calendars, scrapbooks, signs, and more. Corel Photobook ($40), a revised version of Micrografx Picture Publisher Digital Camera Edition, is a simple way to enhance, organize, and share digital photos.
Corel R.A.V.E. 2 ($40), never before offered as a standalone program, lets Webmasters add interactive Flash animations to spiff up their sites, while Corel Bryce 5, a powerful tool for creating realistic 3D landscapes and animations, is on sale for $80.
Finally, the Corel KnockOut 2 plug-in for Adobe Photoshop, Corel Painter 8, or Corel Photo-Paint speeds up the design process by defining complex objects for masking fine image details. For the same $100 price, Corel KPT Collection combines the artistic plug-in filters of KPT 5, KPT 6, and KPT Effects in one bundle.
