Tue 1/21/03 -- AWS Convergence Technologies says its network of real-time weather stations is the world's largest -- and all 6,000 can be at your fingertips if you download the free version 5.0 upgrade of its popular WeatherBug program. Residing in the Windows taskbar, WeatherBug provides extremely accurate, live conditions from a nearby observing station, along with forecasts, severe weather warnings, and civil emergency alerts.
New features in version 5.0 include a flip-out "WeatherBug Today" panel with up-to-date weather news and content; one-click travel forecasts for other cities; improved seven-day forecasts and navigable, animated radar images; and enhanced live and time-lapsed camera images from your neighborhood or around the country.
A revamped interface puts all these features, including the ability to change locations, just a click away. An ad-free premium version, WeatherBug Pro 5.0, is available for $20 per year.
